After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a sightseeing tour of Chennai. Begin with a visit to Fort St. George, which is currently utilized by the Tamil Nadu Government. Inside the compound, you will find a museum displaying artifacts from the East India Company and the British colonial era. From there, proceed to Mylapore, where you can visit the Kapaleeswarar Temple, a grand Shiva temple dating back to the 13th century AD and the largest temple in Chennai. You will also have the opportunity to drive along Marina Beach, the second longest beach in the world. The afternoon is free for you to engage in independent activities.
Day 3: Fly from Chennai to Port Blair
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for a short flight to Port Blair. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the infamous Cellular Jail, followed by a captivating light and sound show. The Cellular Jail played a significant role in India’s struggle for independence and now stands as a national memorial. The day concludes with the Sound and Light Show, which brings to life the stories of the freedom fighters and their quest for independence.
Day 4: Visit Havelock Island
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the jetty to board a cruise to Havelock Island. Spend the day exploring Laxmanpur Beach, a stunning stretch of white sand and crystal-clear aqua water, ideal for witnessing a breathtaking sunset. Day 7: Return to Port Blair
The morning is free for you to enjoy leisure time, perhaps returning to one of the beaches for a serene morning experience. Later, you will be transferred by jetty back to Port Blair. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day/evening is at your leisure for independent activities.
Day 8: Explore North Bay (Coral Island) and Ross Island
After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day three-island cruise. This excursion offers a panoramic view of seven harbors, including North Bay and Ross Island. Ross Island, once the administrative headquarters of the British and the capital of the Andaman Islands, now stands as a ruin under the Indian Navy. Explore the remnants of the bygone era, including the Smritika museum displaying photographs and antiques related to the British presence. The island is known for its friendly deer population and picturesque walking trails. On arrival, you can either stay at the airport to connect with your international flight later in the day/evening, or we can arrange a day use room near the airport with transfers.
