DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN KOLKATA (INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT)
Upon your arrival at Kolkata International Airport in northeast India, you will proceed through immigration and complete the necessary formalities. Our representative will be waiting for you at the arrival hall terminal, holding a placard with your name. They will assist you and escort you to your vehicle.
After a warm welcome, you will be transferred to your hotel. Our representative will handle the check-in process and provide you with the room keys.
The remainder of the day is free for you to relax and engage in independent activities to overcome jetlag.
DAY 02: TRAVEL TO SHILLONG VIA GUWAHATI
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch a short 1-hour and 20-minute flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival, you will drive to Shillong, making a stop at Umiam Lake (also known as Barapani Lake) en route. Umiam Lake is renowned for its beauty and tranquility.
Arrive in Shillong and proceed to check-in at your hotel.
DAY 03: EXPLORE CHERRAPUNJI
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to Shillong Peak. Your day’s itinerary also includes a visit to the Garden of Caves, Elephant Falls, and an exploration of the captivating Mawsmai Caves, Nohkalikai Falls, and Seven Sister Falls.
Afterward, you will arrive in Cherrapunji, check-in to your accommodation, and enjoy the beautiful evening.
DAY 04: NONGRIAT TREK
Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel before departing from Cherrapunji to the village of Tyrna. From there, embark on a trek to the Double Decker Root Bridge (Nongriat) accompanied by a local guide. The trek involves traversing a series of steep and descending stairs, as well as crossing several suspension bridges. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes.
If you are up for more adventure, you can extend your hike to Rainbow Falls by climbing approximately 3,500 steps, ending the hike in Tyrna Village.
DAY 05: TRAVEL TO SHNONGPDENG VIA MAWLYNNONG
After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed to Shnongpdeng. En route, make a stop at Mawlynnong for a short trek through the village and marvel at its local beauty. In addition to the village, you can visit attractions like Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, the Bangladesh viewpoint, and the longest living root bridge. A lunch featuring local cuisine can be arranged in the village.
Continue your drive and upon arrival in Shnongpdeng, check-in to your homestay. You will be served a homestyle cooked dinner at your accommodation.
DAY 06: RETURN TO SHILLONG VIA JOWAI
Wake up early to witness the beauty of the East Khasi hills. Afterward, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You can partake in various adventure activities at your own leisure, such as kayaking, boating, zip-lining, and cliff jumping.
Next, drive to Jowai and visit the breathtaking Krang Suri Waterfalls, known for its clear blue water resembling the sky. After the visit, continue your drive to Shillong. Upon arrival, check-in to your accommodation.
DAY 07: FLY TO KOLKATA VIA GUWAHATI
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Guwahati airport in time for your flight to Kolkata. If time permits and based on your flight schedule, you may have a brief visit to Kamakhya Temple.
Upon arrival in Kolkata, you will be transferred to a hotel for a short stay before heading back to the airport for your international flight home.
