Day 1: Arrival in Kolkata (International Flight)

Upon arrival at Kolkata International Airport in northeast India, you will proceed through immigration and other formalities. Our representative will be waiting for you at the arrival hall terminal, holding a placard with your name on it. They will assist you and escort you to your vehicle.

After a warm welcome, you will be transferred to your hotel. Our representative will handle the check-in formalities and provide you with the room keys. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax, engage in independent activities, and overcome jetlag.

Day 2: Travel to Shillong via Guwahati

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch a short 1-hour and 20-minute flight to Guwahati. Upon arrival in Guwahati, you will proceed to Shillong with a stop at Umiam Lake (also known as Barapani Lake) en route. This scenic lake is renowned for its beauty and serenity. Once you reach Shillong, you will check in to your hotel.

Day 3: Explore Cherrapunji

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to Shillong Peak. Your day’s itinerary includes a visit to the Garden of Caves, Elephant Falls, and the captivating Mawsmai Caves, Nohkalikai Falls, and Seven Sister Falls. Afterward, you will arrive in Cherrapunji, check in to your accommodation, and enjoy the beautiful evening.

Day 4: Nongriat Trek

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will depart from Cherrapunji and drive to Tyrna village. From there, you will embark on the Nongriat trek, accompanied by a local guide. The trek involves traversing a series of steep and descending stairs, as well as crossing suspension bridges. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes. If you’re up for it, you can extend the hike to Rainbow Falls, climbing approximately 3,500 steps before ending the hike in Tyrna Village.

Day 5: Return to Shillong

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before returning to Shillong. Upon arrival, you will check in to your hotel. Later, visit Lady Hydari Park, All Saints Church, the Cathedral in Laitumkhrah, Shillong Golf Links, and the Don Bosco Museum. The rest of the evening is free for independent activities.

Day 6: Journey to Kaziranga National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, embark on a journey to Kaziranga National Park. This drive will be longer, approximately 5 hours compared to previous drives. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation. The evening is free for you to relax and enjoy your free time after the long drive.

Day 7: Explore Kaziranga

Today, the excitement begins as you wake up early for an Elephant Safari in the Western Zone of Kaziranga National Park. This safari allows you to search for the majestic One-horned Rhinoceros and observe more than 500 species of birds in their natural habitat. After the safari, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure to savor the memories of the safari.

Day 8: Fly to Kolkata

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Guwahati airport (approximately 4 to 5 hours’ drive) to catch your flight to Kolkata. If time permits and according to your flight schedule, a brief visit to Kamakhya Temple can be arranged. Upon arrival in Kolkata, transfer to your hotel for a short stay before heading back to the airport for your international flight home.
