Day 01: Arrive in Bengaluru (International Flight)
Upon your arrival at Bengaluru’s International Airport, our representative will meet you as you exit the Arrival Terminal building. After completing customs, immigration formalities, and collecting your baggage, you will be transferred to your hotel. Once you have freshened up, embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Bangalore city. The tour will include visits to Lalbagh, a sprawling botanical garden with a diverse range of trees and plants, the VidhanSoudha, which houses the State Legislative assembly, and Tipu Sultan’s Palace, a historic summer residence. Finally, you will visit the Bull Temple, a 16th-century temple carved out of a single granite block.
Day 02: Bengaluru – Mysore
After breakfast, you will be driven to Mysore, covering approximately 150 km in a journey of around 3.5 hours. En route, you will make a stop at Srirangapatna, known for its Ranganathaswamy temple, a significant Vaishnavite pilgrimage center in South India. After the visit, continue your drive to Mysore and check in to your hotel. In the evening, you will be taken to the outskirts of the city to witness the illuminated Brindavan Gardens, one of the finest gardens in South India, known for its scenic beauty and frequent appearances in Indian films.
Day 03: Mysore – Chikmagalur
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, proceed to visit the magnificent Maharaja’s Palace, located in the heart of Mysore. The palace showcases exquisite carvings and art from around the world and is built in the Indo-Saracenic style. Afterward, you will drive to Chikmagalur, covering approximately 190 km in about 4 hours. En route, make a stop at Sravanabelagola, a prominent center for Jain culture, famous for its colossal statue of Gomateshwara (Lord Bahubali). Continue your drive to Chikmagalur and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Chikmagalur – Belur – Halebid – Chikmagalur
After breakfast, embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Belur and Halebid. These towns were part of the Hoysala dynasty’s reign from the 11th to the 14th century and are renowned for their stunning temples. Belur, Halebid, and Somanatha-pura showcase the artistic brilliance of the Hoysala era.
Day 05: Chikmagalur – Hospet
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and get ready for a long drive to Hospet, covering approximately 355 km in about 7 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after the lengthy journey.
Day 06: Hospet – Hampi – Hospet (Full Day Excursion)
After an early breakfast, embark on a full day excursion to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its captivating ruins. Hampi was once the capital of the Vijayanagar Kingdom and is filled with fascinating landmarks. Explore the King’s Balance, where the king was weighed against grain, gold, or money, which was then distributed to the poor. Visit the Queen’s Bath with its arched corridors, projecting balconies, and lotus-shaped fountains. Marvel at the two-story Lotus Mahal with its recessed archways, the elephant stables, the splendid Vithala Temple with its musical pillars, and the stone chariot. Don’t miss the Virupaksha Temple, still in use for worship, and the Ugra Narasimha, a towering monolith. Other highlights include the Pushkarini Tank and the MahanavmiDibba. The Vijayanagar Empire, once compared to the Roman Empire, is a testament to the grandeur of the past.
Day 07: Hospet – Bengaluru (6 to 7 hours by road), Departure Bengaluru (International Flight)
Today, you will depart for Bengaluru by road, which will take approximately 6 to 7 hours. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for a wash, change, and dinner. Later, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your international flight back home. You may keep the hotel room until your departure, even if it is in the early morning hours of the following day.
